CLOSE Skip in Skip x Embed x Share After President Donald Trump barred Iranians from entering the U.S, Iran said it would ban all U.S. citizens from coming to its country.
But according to Iran`s state-run news agency IRNA the Iranian foreign ministry said it had no choice but to ban the wrestlers because of Trump`s order.
The Freestyle World Cup is scheduled for Feb. 16-17 and USA Wrestling was due to attend the competition.
There was no immediate response from USA Wrestling.
The travel ban covers seven Muslim-majority countries, including Iran, and the White House has also said that it has put the country "on notice" for its recent ballistic missile test.
