Protests erupted in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam late on March 11 outside the Turkish consulate amid a row with Ankara after Dutch authorities banned the visits of Turkish ministers.
"The Dutch government on Saturday barred a Turkish foreign minister`s aircraft from landing, drawing a furious reaction from the Turkish president and escalating a diplomatic dispute between the two NATO allies over campaigning for a Turkish referendum on constitutional reform.
Hundreds of pro-Turkey protesters scuffled with police as authorities tried to end a demonstration at the Turkish consulate in Rotterdam, where a Turkish minister fruitlessly tried to enter the compound.

"You can stop our foreign minister`s plane all you want, let`s see how your planes will come to Turkey from now on," Erdogan said at a rally in Istanbul.
