North Korea fired an unidentified projectile Sunday afternoon, South Korea’s military said.
The launching took place in Pukchang, northeast of Pyongyang, South Korea’s joint chiefs of staff said in a text message.
The action comes just a week after North Korea tested a rocket that it said could carry a “large-size heavy nuclear warhead” over long distances.
President Donald Trump has said military force is an option to prevent Kim Jong Un’s regime from developing missiles that could carry a nuclear warhead to North America.
