Decades later, Donham left the shadows of solitude to reveal that her initial accusation was a lie in the new book, "The Blood of Emmett Till," by historian Timothy Tyson.
On August 28, 1955, 14-year-old Emmett Till was inhumanely murdered after he allegedly whistled at now 82-year-old, Carolyn Bryant Donham.
Till, mother of Emmett Till, insisted that her son`s body be displayed in an open casket forcing the nation to see the brutality directed at blacks in the South at the time.

APEmmet Till`s relatives are calling for authorities to reopen the investigation into his cruel 1955 murder.
