Gunmen Launch Twin Attacks in Tehran, State Media Report

At least one dead in Parliament, three injured: Tasnim Gunmen killed a least one person in Iran on Wednesday in twin attacks that targeted the country’s parliament and a shrine dedicated to the Islamic Republic’s founder.

As many as three gunmen were involved.
It’s unclear whether anyone had been apprehended.
In a separate incident on the outskirts of the city, gunmen entered the shrine of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and opened fire before an explosion hit the site, Tasnim reported.
Images of the blast were shown by Iran’s Press TV.
One assailant was shot dead by police, Tasnim said.
Iran’s Interior Ministry will hold an emergency security meeting.
Roads leading to parliament in downtown Tehran were closed.
