Finnish President and His Wife Are Expecting Their First Child

Finnish President Sauli Niinisto, 69, and his wife Jenni Haukio, 40, are expecting a child in February.
“We have waited and hoped for a child for several years,” Niinisto and Haukio said in an emailed statement.
“We have encountered many obstacles during these years.
” Niinisto and Haukio wed in 2009.
The baby is Haukio’s first, while Niinisto has two boys with his first wife Marja-Leena, who died in a car accident in 1995.
